Built from determination, hard work and a passion for getting it right.

Founded in 2020 by Steve, Complete Gate Automation was built on determination, hard work, and a passion for delivering reliable gate automation solutions. At a time when the world was facing uncertainty as COVID-19 hit, Steve made the bold decision to leave his role as a gate automation engineer and take the leap to build something of his own.

Starting out with nothing more than a small van, a strong work ethic, and years of industry experience, Steve worked tirelessly to grow the business from the ground up. Through dedication, honesty, and a commitment to customer service, Complete Gate Automation has grown into the trusted family-run company it is today.

For the past three years, Steve's wife, Jemma, has played a key role in the business, managing the office and helping ensure every customer receives the highest level of care and support. Together, they have built a company that combines traditional values with modern, high-quality automation solutions.

Steve Brown

Director

Steve is the Director of Complete Gate Automation and has over 10 years of experience in the gate automation industry. With a wealth of knowledge and a practical, hands-on approach, he is passionate about delivering reliable, high-quality solutions and ensuring customers receive the best possible service.

Having built Complete Gate Automation around professionalism, trust, and attention to detail, Steve takes great pride in helping customers find the right automation solution for their property.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with his children, playing golf, and supporting his local rugby club.

Jemma

Office Manager

Jemma is the Office Manager at Complete Gate Automation and plays a key role in the day-to-day running of the business. From scheduling engineers and coordinating workloads to handling customer enquiries, Jemma helps ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Known for her organisation and attention to detail, she keeps the team on track and is often the first point of contact for customers, providing a friendly and professional service at every stage of a project.

Outside of work, Jemma is kept busy by her two children and enjoys supporting her local rugby club, where her son plays and Steve is also actively involved. Family, community, and teamwork are values that are important to her both at home and at work.

Callum

Senior Engineer

Callum is our Senior Engineer and has been a valued member of the Complete Gate Automation team for over four years. With extensive knowledge of gate automation systems and groundworks, there isn't much that Callum doesn't know when it comes to delivering high-quality installations.

As Steve's right-hand man, Callum plays a key role in the business, splitting his time between the office and being out on-site overseeing installations and supporting the engineering team. His practical expertise, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality help ensure every project is completed to the highest standard.

Outside of work, Callum enjoys carrying out landscaping projects for family and friends and spending quality time with his son. His hands-on approach and strong work ethic make him an integral part of the Complete Gate Automation team.

Archie

Installation Engineer

Archie is one of our Installation Engineers and brings a wealth of experience in gate automation to the team. Having learned the trade with another gate automation company in Cornwall before joining Complete Gate Automation, he has developed extensive knowledge of both automation systems and the technical aspects of installations.

A natural problem solver, Archie thrives on a challenge and enjoys finding practical solutions to even the most complex installation requirements. His technical expertise, attention to detail, and determination to get the job done right make him a valuable member of the team and a trusted presence on site.

Outside of work, Archie enjoys rebuilding and restoring anything with an engine. Whether it's vehicles, machinery, or mechanical projects, he loves getting stuck into a challenge and bringing things back to life.

Where does Complete Gate Automation install electric gates?

We install automated electric gates, garage doors, access control and traffic barriers across Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire — covering Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud, Tewkesbury, Cirencester and surrounding towns.

Do you offer free quotes and site surveys?

Yes — every project starts with a free, no-obligation site survey. We assess access requirements, ground conditions, power supply and intended use, then provide a clear, itemised quotation tailored to your property and budget.

Are your installations DHF accredited?

Complete Gate Automation is a proud member of the Door & Hardware Federation (DHF), giving us access to ongoing technical training and ensuring every installation meets industry-leading standards for quality, reliability and safety.

Do you service and repair existing gate systems?

Yes. Our engineers service and repair all major automated gate, garage door and access control systems — including systems originally installed by other providers. We also offer scheduled maintenance contracts and an emergency call-out service.

How long does a typical electric gate installation take?

Most domestic automated gate installations are completed within 2–5 working days depending on civil works, power supply requirements and the chosen system. We confirm a realistic timescale before installation begins.
